Hoy les contamos sobre el frasco de la calma, sobretodo en tiempos de estrés, el cual acarrea a toda la familia y afecta a los más pequeños. Y es cierto que calmar a un niño a veces puede ser una tarea difícil. Sin embargo, este invento promete tranquilidad en cosa de minutos, la cual está inspirada en el método Montessori y que a su vez, estimula la creatividad y la autonomía de los niños.
Como lo dice su nombre, la función principal de este pote es calmar a los niños después de una pelea, molestia o rabieta y ataque de llanto, cuando ya nada parece funcionar.
El “frasco de la calma” no es más que una botella con pegamento líquida y brillo. Simplemente con agitarlo se genera sus beneficios, y si les acompañamos con enseñarles a los pequeños a tomar unas respiraciones profundas mientras se concentran en lo que sucede con el pote, mucho mejor.
Según algunos estudios, mientras que el niño observa la caída de brillo, puede organizar y centralizar el sistema nervioso. Cuando el niño está estresado, su ritmo cardíaco se acelera junto a su respiración y al ver la lenta caída del brillo, genera un modelo visual para inconscientemente entregar una señal al cerebro que disminuya la agitación. Además, mientras sucede esto, el adulto puede proporcionar un espacio para que el menor trate de explicar las razones de la tristeza, la ira o la frustración.
Hay que considerar que cada niño responde de una manera diferente y que habrá que probar el interés que tenga frente a este pote de la calma. Asimismo, que éste funciona mejor con niños de dos a cinco años, y es importante que el tamaño del pote sea el apropiado al tamaño del niño.
Para los interesados, es muy fácil de hacer en casa, sólo necesitas:
– 1 frasco de plástico transparente con tapa
– 1 o 2 cucharadas de pegamento con brillo
– 3 o 4 cucharaditas de brillo del color que quieras
– 1 gota de colorante
– Agua caliente
Como hacer:
Mezcla el agua caliente con el pegamento de cristal y el brillo. Deja un espacio vacío en la parte superior del pote para que el niño pueda agitar su contenido. Cerrar bien el frasco y listo para agitar!

Yo lo hice con agua y mancera en vez de pegamento y quedo igual. Pienso que el pegamento se secara antes…además de que en casa no tenía pegamento líquido :)
